I'm assuming this is a really shitty software bug. Im not going to be able to get my Avermedia external working since I dont have a TB slot on my motherboard so its pretty much fucking useless. The card functions fine on my old PC which I'm currently forced to use to record gameplay with. They accept 1080p60 as input but will decimate to 1080p30 for recording. The Avermedia c875 can record up to 60 Mb/s. The ElGato Game Capture HD can record at 30 Mb/s.

Surprise, now it doesn't want to work too! This is literally a brand new PC out of the box that just has factory settings and Windows 7 essential updates. There are a few capture devices that can record 1080p at over 15 Mb/s. Upon downloading it, I found out that the device software refused to install at all. Then: 1) Select Permanent Stream Key so that you do not have to create a new account in Elgato Game Capture HD software each time. When I got my newest PC, I hooked up my card to it in one of the 2.0 USB slots and noticed there was a 3.0 update for the Game Capture HD software. I had an older Elgato Game Capture HD card hooked up from my PS4 to my older PC and it work just fine while using the 2.0 version of their software. Elgato capture devices not supported by Game Capture software are now being detected and corresponding info gets displayed in user interface. I recently bought a much needed new PC after using a much older one.
